Cooperative Machine Intelligence for People-Aligned Safe Systems Postdoctoral Researcher

Haritz Puerto

Haritz is a postdoctoral researcher at the ELLIS Institute Tübingen, working with Sahar Abdelnabi. His research focuses on enhancing trustworthy, safe, and effective reasoning in language models and agentic systems. He did his Ph.D. in Machine Learning & Natural Language Processing at the UKP Lab, TU Darmstadt, supervised by Prof. Iryna Gurevych. During his Ph.D., he interned at Parameter Lab, where he collaborated with Naver on trustworthy AI. He got his master’s degree at KAIST, where he was a research assistant at the IR&NLP Lab under the supervision of Prof. Sung-Hyon Myaeng.
