On two beautiful summer days, the ELLIS Institute celebrated its grand opening. On the 20th and 21st of June 2024, many distinguished guests visited the institute and joined the once-in-a-lifetime event. First, a scientific symposium was held to give interesting insights to the guests, followed by a ceremony on the second day, accompanied by classical music, chosen by the Scientific Director Bernhard Schölkopf himself.
Representatives of the Hector Foundation, the Ministry of Science, Research and Arts of Baden-Württemberg and more were present and honored the young institute with their appreciative speeches.
